Look in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… That’s right, it’s Superman!
Who was your superhero as a kid? What made them super? Was it the snazzy costume? The walk? The one liner? Or was it the superpower that had the most effect on you?
What makes a superhero isn’t the superpower they possess. Rather, it’s the way they use their superpower to positively impact the world around them.
There is a superhero in all of us. I’m not trying to be corny here, I believe that. We all have a unique combination of gifts that when used together becomes your superpower.
The Moving Forward Reframe-Work asks the question, what is your superpower? Sit down and start to write your gifts out on paper. It’s okay to start with a list of skills or talents to get you started, but remember, go deeper. What are you really good at that seems to be difficult for others around you.
Moving forward through life is a lot easier when you know your superpower and how to use it. It helps create clarity on what you devote your time and energy to at work, at home, and in your community.
