The idea that work should be fun may be foreign to you. My guess is that your idea of “work” is something you do to make money, to live, or something you have to do like chores. But what if I defined your favorite hobby as “work”?
Our perspective about the word “work” depends a great deal on how that “work” makes us feel inside. When we are doing work we are not passionate about, or feel compelled to do, it feels like work.
When we are doing work we enjoy or that we choose to do, it feels like we are paddling with the current. That we are in the flow and as a result, it doesn’t feel like work so often we don’t associate it with the word “work”.
Taking stock in the activities, tasks, thoughts, and projects that get us into a natural rhythm is important to knowing how we are designed to flow through life and this world. So take a few minutes today and start to identify these for yourself.
